Halloween Dracula Festival
Clontarf Castle Hotel will host Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Halloween Horror Festival.
From 27 to 31 October 2010. Born in 1847 in Clontarf, Dublin, Stoker wrote 18 books the most famous Dracula was published in 1897. The event will focus on a wide variety of shows, including an international World Championship Race Vampire cloak, a Ghost Walk of former Clontarf cemetery that contains the ruins of the church where Stoker was named in 1847, and a Science Fiction Convention with a prime contractor horror quiz and some screaming.
Samhain Parade
Halloween is a celebration of Ireland and Celtic pagan traditions and Dublin is definitely the place to be that year. The Samhain Dublin Parade takes place each year, usually on Oct. 31. The parade winds its way through the streets of downtown and ends at Temple Bar, Dublin’s cultural quarter. The streets come alive with color as dragons, devils, fire eaters and dancing ghouls their way along the delight of spectators and participants. The night ends with a fantastic fireworks display screen. Partygoers then part of the head for the nightlife of many events that welcome Halloween costume.
Hidden Dublin Horse Halloween Special
Hidden Dublin Horse Spooky Ltd offers tours of Dublin all year, but also offer a special treat the night before Halloween and Halloween night itself. The meeting point each year is the church of St Audeon’s, Cook Street entrance, and all participants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. The evening begins with a tour of Dublin with a touch macabre, where participants can hear dark tales of the city. The tour then takes a bus to the Hellfire Club in the Dublin mountains. The burned shell of the hunt haunted lodge in 1725 is known for its association with Satanism, the supernatural and the occult. A storyteller will recount tales of black masses and exhumations that took place over the years in this sinister place. Pooka Children Festival
The annual Children’s Festival runs from Pooka Tuesday 26 October 2010 the game 28th in the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre, Naul, County Dublin. Tuesday, 26 children may attend a Halloween lantern workshop, where a teacher will help small fabric glue on a frame of willow, then decorate it. Class starts at 10am for children ages 6 and older, reservations required. On Thursday, October 28 Make your own brush start at 11:30. Children will have fun doing this essential point of Halloween.
